How does it know my website or menu link?

Before adding DiningDots to your shopping cart you will be asked for the website address to your online menu.  You are also welcome put a link to any website of your choice that you would like your DiningDot to send guests too.  Simply copy and paste the link into the box at checkout and we will do the rest.


Which smartphones work with DiningDot?

Currently nearly every major brand smartphones manufactured reads DiningDot. This includes Iphone, Google, Huaweei, Motorola, LG, Nokia, Sony and HTC.  See bottom of page for complete list.


Is an app required?

The ability to read DiningDots is a native feature in smartphones currently manufactured without the use of an app.  Simply place the phone close to the DiningDot and your phone will automatically prompt you to visit the site.


How does it work?

DiningDot sends a signal to your guest’s smartphone which prompts it to visit a website of your choice.  Simply tap the smartphone on the DiningDot to receive the prompt. A notification will appear taking them directly to the site.


Do I need a new DiningDot if I update my menu or website content.

No, your DiningDot will be attached to the website address you provide us with. As long as you do not change the web address to your website, your DiningDot will continue directing your guests to the updated information on your site.


How long do they last?

The chip itself can last up to 100,000 data transfers, however factors such as bending, excessive water exposure, or extreme heat or cold expousure can wear on your DiningDot. 

What is the processing time?

Please allow 1-3 days to program and ship your DiningDots. Estimated shipping time within the U.S. is 3-5 business days. We also offer international shipping  


Can I track my order?

Yes, when your order is processed you will receive an email which will provide you with your USPS tracking number.  You can either click on the link provided in the email, visit USPS.com and type in your tracking number, or type your number into a search engine and choose USPS. If your item doesn't arrive on the expected arrival date provided by USPS, don't worry USPS will be happy to assist you. Just click HERE and they can keep you updated on your delivery status.
